EMS, or Emergency Medical Services, deals with the pre-hospital care of patients, often those involved in crime scenes, car accidents, traumatic injuries, or isolated medical events. At 伊人影院, you can begin your career in EMS by receiving an associate of science degree and EMT certificates. Before enrolling in the degree program, students should obtain EMT-Basic and EMT-Hospital/Field Combined certifications.

How to Obtain an EMS Degree at 伊人影院

The associate of science degree in EMS builds upon the EMT-Paramedic program here at 伊人影院. In addition to that coursework, students must complete five general education courses:

鈥 ENC1101: English Composition I
鈥 ENC1101: English Composition II
鈥 MGF1106: Liberal Arts Mathematics or MTA 1030: Intermediate Algebra
鈥 PSY2012: Introduction to Psychology
鈥 AMH2010: History of the USA: A Survey to 1877

These classes comprise 15 of the 60 credits required for the associate鈥檚 degree.

The program generally takes 2 years to complete, students are afforded the opportunity to learn in a hybrid online/in-class environment. In-person training and on-the-job preparedness are not sacrificed in 伊人影院 hybrid programs.

In order to graduate, all classes must be completed to the Medical or EMS director鈥檚 satisfaction. An overall evaluation of a student鈥檚 preparedness for graduation will include his/her:

鈼 Clinical performance and assessment
鈼 General attitude and performance
鈼 Knowledge of concepts studied
鈼 Judgement as exhibited by the program
